Who we are

Discovery Church Central is a part of the wider Discovery Church Swindon network that meets in three separate locations. The name Discovery Church was chosen to reflect our belief that we are on a journey discovering what God has for us as individuals and as a community. We do not profess to have all the answers but we love people and whatever your situation or background we ask you to join us on our journey of discovery.

Where we are

We meet at Discovery Church Central, Town Centre, Swindon, SN1 2BU, in the broad green area. Our aim is to serve the needs of the Broad green and central Swindon community. We meet at 5.30pm every Sunday and through the week in various home groups.

What we do

We see ourselves first and foremost as a community of believers who desire to impact the wider central Swindon community. In addition to Sunday evening services the church provides a home to other congregations such as a Brazilian URC congregation that meets in a Saturday Night from 7.30, a Ghanaian Church (yawbaah55@yahoo.co.uk) that meets on a Sunday morning at 10.30am and an Eritreans church that meets on a Sunday afternoon at 2.00pm.

The Sunday night Service focusses on encouraging everyone who attends to participator so we have asked people to come having prayed ready to share: “Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.”

What we believe

As a church we simply believe in Jesus. We look to him as saviour and as Lord. As a church we desire to outlive the message of Jesus in our everyday lives and we welcome you to join us.
